Sergeant Eugene Flanagan[1] is a character on Top Cat. He was voiced by John Stephenson. In Top Cat: the Movie, he is the Police Chief, and is voiced by Bob Kaliban.
Description[]
The Sarge is a thick, stocky and tall man with a thick, round face. Like Dibble, he is always seen wearing the blue uniform and matching cap. He has grey hair, almost completely white, but apparently wears a jet black toupee sometimes.[2] His nose is small and button shaped, and he appears to have a cleft chin.
When a new recruit fresh from the Police Academy questions Officer Dibble's commitment to his job, the Sarge assigns them to work together. This new recruit is his nephew, Officer Ernest Prowler, who calls the Sarge "Uncle Eugene".[3]
He is eventually promoted to Police Chief, but he retires and gives his position to his supposed son-in-law Lou Strictland.[4]
